We awoke a little saddened that this was our last day of the hike. Our bodies were a little stiff from the long day before but luckily we only had about 2 hours walking ahead of us and then a good 4 hours in the jeep riding back to Darjeeling.
The trail out of Sirikhola followed the river that snaked its way through the valley.
As the path moved up the mountain, we had expansive views of the valley and where we had been the day before.
While walking along the path, we came across two Indian army officers who wanted to have their picture taken with us. It was a little strange but we couldn't really say no...we decided to get a picture too as they were classic!
As we walked, we were slowly eased into more and more populated villages until we found us ourselves walking down the busy streets of Rimbik, our final destination, on market day. It was quite the transition.
Signing out one last time.
